One-hundred percent Filipino invention, Beer Below Zero, is slated to embark on a large-scale domestic expansion, after successfully securing patents for the company’s specialized beer freezers. Both the freezer and the technology are now patented in the country, with two patents for design and two for utility models.

As part of its massive expansion, Beer Below Zero plans to open satellite offices in every major region in the country in order to meet the increasing demand for the company’s signature ice-cold beer. The expansion will be led by Vinson CoSay, Vice President and co-founder of Beer Below Zero. The company will also be supplying freezers to different major appliance centers late this year.
Beer Below Zero currently has a wide selection of freezers, from large thirteen casers to smaller seven casers. The company also recently released a line of personal freezers for homes or small restaurants. These freezers are equipped with the latest refrigeration technology which cools beers right above the freezing point (-8 degrees Celsius) which is said to be the ideal state that enhances the crispiness of the beer’s taste.
Entrepreneurs Nuñez and Co-Say, together with Jay-Jay Angala founded the company in 2008, and since then created a demand for beer refrigeration technology. Best known for enhancing customers’ drinking experience, Beer Below Zero currently has more than 600 outlets nationwide, with more than 200 in international markets including Guam, Hawaii, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Chile among others.
